Using your CLIÉ(TM) handheld as a removable disk
You can use your CLIÉ(TM) handheld as a removable disk.
Before using the Data Import/Export applications, turn on your computer and connect the cradle to your computer.
Note
• Before performing the following procedure, insert a “Memory Stick(TM)” media or CF memory card into your CLIÉ(TM) handheld. Do not remove it while the cradle is connected to your computer. Data may not operate properly when the file transfer is interrupted.
• The Data Import application may not display any indication of a data transfer in progress depending on a computer or a CF memory card you are using. In this case, check if the data transfer is in progress using some indications on your computer.

Place your CLIÉ(TM) handheld in the cradle.

On the CLIE Launcher screen, rotate the Jog Dial(TM) navigator to select Data Import and then press the Jog Dial(TM) navigator .
Or, tap the Data Import icon on the CLIE Launcher screen.
The Data Import application starts.

Tap in the upper-right corner of the screen and select the storage media that you are using. Then, tap Connect.
Connected to PC appears on the screen.
Tip
You can also tap PC conn on the Media Info screen to connect to your computer.

Perform the operations on the desired file or data as necessary using Windows(R) Explorer, etc.
You can transfer the data between your computer and your CLIÉ(TM) handheld, or delete the data stored in the storage media on your computer.
Note
When you copy the data to the /PALM/Launcher folder of a storage media, it may not appear in some applications on your CLIÉ(TM) handheld.

When you finish the operation, tap Disconnect or tap Home .
If your computer is Windows(R) 2000/Windows(R) Me/Windows(R) XP
A warning message appears when you tap Disconnect on your CLIÉ(TM) handheld.
Click OK, and continue with the operations.
