Auto-run for an application or associated data files in the “Memory Stick” media
To specify the data in the “Memory Stick” media to start the application automatically, set as follows. This example describes the setting for PhotoStand application and its data files.
Notes
You need to set auto-run for the PhotoStand application, Follow the procedure described in Setting Auto-run for an application in the “Memory Stick” media.
Data in the “Memory Stick” media is not automatically updated when you remove the “Memory Stick” media.
You can use PhotoStand data files by inserting the “Memory Stick” media into your CLIÉ handheld or by copying the files on to your CLIÉ handheld. The following procedure uses the copying method.

1 Install the PhotoStand application and data files (.prc) on your CLIÉ handheld.
2 Insert the “Memory Stick” media for auto-run setting into the “Memory Stick” slot.

Start Memory Stick Gate application from the Application Launcher screen, and then make sure you are in the folder "PALM/LAUNCHER". For details, see Memory Stick Gate application manual.

Select the data files from the list displayed.

Tap Move.
The specified data files are copied into the “Memory Stick” media to be deleted from your CLIÉ handheld.

Return to the Application Launcher screen to start Memory Stick Autorun application.
The list of applications in the “Memory Stick” media appears.

Tap the arrow next to “Select launch app”, and tap “Select install DBs”.
The list of applications and data files appears.
8 From the displayed list, tap the desired database file(s).

Tap Set.
The setting is stored in the “Memory Stick” media, and the confirmation dialog box appears.

Tap OK.
The auto-run setting for PictureGear Pocket application to display the specified image file is completed.
Tap Home, and remove the “Memory Stick” media.
Changing the Auto-run setting
If you need to add new database files to the existing auto-run settings, you can change the auto-run settings.
The following is an example of adding (or canceling) the auto-run setting for image files that are set to auto-run with the PhotoStand application in “Memory Stick” media.
You can also change the setting to delete specific data, or to start the application in “Memory Stick” media using the CLIÉ handheld.

1 Start the Memory Stick Autorun application.
2 Insert the “Memory Stick” media in the “Memory Stick” slot.

Press the Jog Dial navigator.
The list of applications in the “Memory Stick” media appears.
Applications with auto-run settings are highlighted on the screen.



4 Tap the “Select launch app” drop-down list, and then tap “Select Install DBs”.
5 To cancel a specified image file, tap the highlighted file. Tap the files you want to select or dese

Tap Set.
The setting is stored in the “Memory Stick” media, and the confirmation dialog box appears.

Tap OK.
The auto-run setting is changed.
