Creating a new Address Book entry

On the CLIE 3D Launcher screen, rotate the Jog Dial™ navigator to select Address and then press the Jog Dial™ navigator, or tap the Address icon on the CLIE 3D Launcher screen.
The Address Book application starts.  |

Tap New.
The Address Edit screen appears.

Enter the last name of the person you want to
add to Address Book.
The first letter of each field (except numeric and e-mail fields)
is automatically capitalized. |

Tap First name.
The cursor shifts to the first name field. |

Enter the first name in the First name field.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 to enter the other items
of information that you want to include.
You can tap the arrow  next to some items and select other types of phone numbers or e-mail addresses from the displayed drop-down list. You can select from Work, Home, Fax, Other, E-mail, Main, Pager, and Mobile.

To move to the next items of information, tap
the scroll arrow
 at the bottom-right corner of the screen or rotate the Jog Dial™ navigator . |

After you have finished entering all the necessary information,
tap Done.
The Address screen is displayed again. |
Note
When you use a semicolon (;) in Phone number field, the characters following the semicolon (;) will not be sent when you send the information to another CLIÉ™ handheld or the Palm OS-based device.

You can also use the Palm Desktop for CLIÉ software
to create entries on your computer and then download them to your CLIÉ™ handheld in your next HotSync® operation.
