CLIE File functions

CLIE Files   Ver.1.0

Using the CLIE Files application, you can exchange (copy, move, or delete) data between your CLIÉ handheld and a “Memory Stick” media or within a “Memory Stick” media.
You can use the CLIE Files application to:
Create or delete folders on a “Memory Stick” media.
Sort and view files inside your CLIÉ handheld or a “Memory Stick” media.
Show file names inside a “Memory Stick” media.
Show memory information on the Internal/media information screen.
Put a title (Volume label) to a “Memory Stick” media.
Show files in 320 x 480 dot high resolution display.
You do not need to install the CLIE Files application
The CLIE Files application is pre-installed at the factory.
Note on moving and deleting files
It is possible that moving or deleting a file using the CLIE Files application may cause an error or lost data. Sony is not responsible for any lost data.
Do not move or delete the following files:
Saved Preference: Saves the final operation status or settings for various applications.
Unsaved Preference: Saves the settings of various applications or user information of your CLIÉ handheld. If this file is deleted, you may not be able to synchronize with correct information.
CLIE Launcher***: Saves the database for CLIE Launcher. If this file is deleted, you may not be able to start CLIE Launcher properly.
NetworkDB: Saves network settings. If this file is deleted, you may not be able to synchronize correct information.
AddressDB: Saves the database for Address Book.*
DatebookDB: Saves the database for Date Book.*
MemoDB: Saves the database for Memo Pad.*
ToDoDB: Saves the database for To Do List.*

* These database files can be copied to “Memory Stick” media for backup. If you copy them back to your CLIÉ handheld, the identical files in your CLIÉ handheld will be overwritten with the information at the time of backup. Note that any added or edited data on your CLIÉ handheld after the backup will be erased.
