Sound Utility/Sound Converter 2 functions

Sound Converter 2   Ver.1.0

Using the Sound Converter 2 software, you can convert WAVE format sound data (WAV files) and MIDI format sound data on your computer to a format compatible to your CLIÉ handheld. The converted sound data can be transferred to your CLIÉ handheld via HotSync and played using the Sound Utility application.
Set your favorite sound data as alarm sound
You can use the imported sound data as alarm sounds in the Date Book and in the World Alarm Clock applications.
Play sound data on your CLIÉ handheld
You can playback the sound data that has been converted to a format compatible to the CLIÉ handheld on your computer and transferred to your CLIÉ handheld using the Sound Utility application.

You do not need to install the Sound Utility application
The Sound Utility application is pre-installed at the factory. However, you need to install the Sound Converter 2 software on your computer.
Notes for Sound Converter software users
The Sound Converter software and the Sound Converter 2 software is designed for different CLIÉ handheld models. See below for the compatible models of each software.
Sound Converter: Palm OS 4.x based CLIÉ handhelds (PEG-T665C, PEG-T615C, PEG-T415, PEG-NR70 series)
Sound Converter 2: Palm OS 5 based CLIÉ handhelds (PEG-NX70V/NX60)
When you have both Sound Converter and Sound Converter 2 software installed on your computer, be sure to use appropriate software for the Palm OS version of the CLIÉ handheld that you are using.
If you have converted sound data using the Sound Converter or Sound Converter 2 software not compatible to your CLIÉ handheld, refer to the Troubleshooting Q&A manual.
