Requirements for SonicStage Ver.1.5
System requirements
Before installing the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software, make sure that
your computer meets the following hardware requirements.

The IBM PC/AT compatible machine that fulfills all the following requirements. (We do not assure trouble-free operation for NEC PC-98 series or its compatible machine. Also, the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software does not operate on a Macintosh computer.)

SonicStage Ver.1.5 software users with Windows 2000/Windows XP Professional models should be aware of the following:

Only Administrators are allowed to install and uninstall the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software.
For details on using the log on method in the account for administrators, refer to the help for your computer. |

To use the application, log on with the user name Administrator or Power User. |
|
Do not remove or insert a CD-ROM drive connected via a PC card while the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software is running.
Your important data may be lost. |
Notes on performing the System Restore function on Windows(R) Millennium Edition / Windows XP Home Edition / Windows XP Professional
If you perform the System Restore function of System Tools on Windows
(R) Me/Windows XP Home Edition/Windows
XP Professional, the SonicStage Ver.1.5 database may be damaged and all music files recorded or imported may not play. Follow the steps
below to back up and restore all audio files managed by the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software.

Before performing the System Restore function, back up your audio files by using the SonicStage Backup Tool.
This will help prevent unwanted loss of your audio files.
|

After performing the System Restore function, restore your music files by using the SonicStage Backup Tool.
This will help ensure the reliability of playback.
|
For details on using the SonicStage Backup Tool, refer to the online help for the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software.
Note
If audio files become unplayable because you executed System Restore, an error dialog box may appear when you try to play. In this case, follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
When you are using the OpenMG Jukebox software or the older version of the SonicStage software with other portable players or CLIÉ handhelds
When you install the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software on your computer, the OpenMG Jukebox software is uninstalled or updated, and the older version of the SonicStage software is uninstalled automatically. You can continue using all OpenMG Jukebox audio data in the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software.
Follow the instruction of the SonicStage installer for installation.
Notes

Do not install OpenMG Jukebox Ver.1.x or 2.x to overwrite the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software. If they are
overwritten, the registered tracks may be lost in the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software. If such installation accidentally starts, quit the process immediately. |

Audio files backed up in the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software can only be restored in the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software. You cannot restore files in the OpenMG Jukebox software. |
