Getting ready: Installing Data Export

Tip

You do not need to install the Data Import application on your CLIÉ(TM) handheld, since it is pre-installed at the factory.

Install the Data Export software on your computer using the supplied Installation CD-ROM.
Before installation, make sure you have the Palm Desktop for CLIÉ software installed on your computer.

1	Insert the Installation CD-ROM into your computer’s CD-ROM drive. The installation launcher window appears. If the installation launcher window does not appear, click the CD-ROM drive icon in Windows(R) Explorer, and then double-click Setup.exe.
2	Click CLIÉ Utilities from the categories displayed on the left side of the window.
3	Click the Install button for the Data Export software. The software installation starts. The Data Export software is installed, followed by the CLIE SCSI Driver software. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
4	Click Finish. The installation is complete. The shortcut icon for the Data Export software appears on the desktop screen of your computer after the installation.
