[1] Viewfinder
Displays the image the camera is currently seeing.
[2] Album select button
Displays the screen in which you can select the album to enter, or create a new album for the captured image.
[3] Album start button
Starts the CLIE Album application. This button does not operate if the CLIE Album application is not ready. See the operating instructions for the CLIE Album application for details.
[4] Movie Recorder button
Starts the Movie Recorder application.
[5] Camera preference button
Displays the Camera Preferences screen where you can adjust various camera settings, including the capture sound, the white balance, and the effect setting.
[6] Thumbnails
Shows thumbnails of the three latest captured images.
: This icon is displayed when the thumbnail has been deleted in other application, or when a different “Memory Stick(TM)” media is inserted.

Zooms in by x 1 or x 2 the size of the subject of your photograph when aiming the camera.
[8] Brightness indicator
Displays the current brightness setting.
[9] White balance indicator
Displays the current white balance setting.
When it is set at Auto, nothing will be indicated here.
When it is set at Auto, nothing will be indicated here.
[10] Scene setting indicator
Displays the currently selected scene setting. The indicator will not appear when Normal is selected.
[11] Effect setting indicator
Displays the currently selected effect. The indicator will not appear when nothing is selected.
[12] CLIE Viewer button
Starts the CLIE Viewer application to view recorded images.
[13] CAPTURE button
Tap this button to record an image.
[14] Counter
Indicates the number of images you can record with the amount of memory currently available on the CLIÉ(TM) handheld or the “Memory Stick(TM)” media.
The indicated number may differ depending on the size of the image and conditions of the subject of your photograph.

[15] Image size
Displays the size of the recorded image.
[16] Save to setting indicator
Indicates the CLIÉ(TM) handheld icon or “Memory Stick(TM)” media icon according to the setting you have selected on the Save to field in the Preference screen.
[17] CAPTURE light button (PEG-NX80V only)
Turns on the light built-in on your CLIÉ(TM) handheld.
[18] Timer button (PEG-NX73V only)
Starts recording 10 seconds after pressing the CAPTURE button. If you are using PEG-NX80V, select this setting from the Camera Preference screen.
