Install the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software onto the hard disk of your computer using
the supplied Installation CD-ROM.
For details on the file types compatible with the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software, refer to the SonicStage Ver.1.5 Help.

Insert the Installation CD-ROM into your computer’s CD-ROM drive. The installation launcher window appears.If the installation launcher window does not appear, click the CD-ROM drive icon in Windows Explorer, and then double-click Setup.exe. |

Click the next button.

Click the Install SonicStage button.
The software installation starts.Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. The installation is complete. Restart your computer. |
| • | Be sure to install the software before placing your CLIÉ handheld in the transfer mode in the cradle. Do not install the software while the cradle’s USB cable is connected to your computer. |

| • | If the “Installing:” message continues to appear without advancing to the next step for some time, click the “InstallShield Wizard” on the task bar. The task bar appears when you press the Windows key on your computer. |
| • | Do not delete, move, or edit the installed folders using Windows Explorer or any other application. If you do so, the SonicStage Ver.1.5 database may become unstable or damaged. |
| • | Do not simultaneously press the Alt key and the Tab key of your computer during the installation process. |
| • | For Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional users: Before installation, click Start, Shutdown, and then select Log off. When the Log on screen is displayed, log on with the user name Administrator and then start the installation of SonicStage Ver.1.5 software. |
| • | For Windows 2000 users: When you restart the computer after installing the software and displacing the installation CD-ROM, a warning message may appear. Click Cancel and proceed with your operation. |
| • | Delete the following file to uninstall the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software from your computer.

| • | Uninstalling the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software may disable other music player applications. | ||
| • | When uninstalling the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software, it is recommended that you take a backup of audio files using the SonicStage Backup Tool. You can restore the audio information to the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software the next time you install it. | ||
| • | Do not uninstall the OpenMG Secure Module. You will not be able to use other OpenMG compatible software if you do so. | ||
| • | If you have accidentally uninstalled the OpenMG Secure Module, reinstall the SonicStage Ver.1.5 software from the Installation CD-ROM. |
