Copying data in “Memory Stick” media to your CLIÉ handheld

The Memory Stick Gate application allows you to save data inside your CLIÉ handheld to “Memory Stick” media. Make sure your CLIÉ handheld has enough space before copying.

1	Insert “Memory Stick” media into your CLIÉ handheld.
2	On the Application Launcher screen, rotate the Jog Dial navigator to select MS Gate and press the Jog Dial navigator. Or tap the MS Gate icon on the Application Launcher screen. The Memory Stick application starts. The data in your CLIÉ handheld is listed.
3	Press the Jog Dial navigator to select MS. You can also tap the arrow in the upper right corner to select MS from the drop-down list. The data in the default folder (/PALM/PROGRAMS/MSFILES) in “Memory Stick” media is listed.
4	Tap to select the data you want to copy to your CLIÉ handheld.
5	Tap COPY. The Copy File dialog box is displayed.
6	Tap OK. The data selected in step 4 is copied to your CLIÉ handheld.

To copy all the data at once

Tap Select All in step 4.

To cancel the selection

•	To cancel all the selections, tap Clear All.
•	To clear only specific items, tap one selected item at a time.

To change the folder to be copied

Tap

to select the folder that you want to copy. The folder display changes and you can specify a folder to be copied.
You can only select a folder under the “PALM/Launcher” or “PALM/Programs” folder. The other folders cannot be selected.

Moving data in “Memory Stick” media to your CLIÉ handheld

You can also move data from “Memory Stick” media to your CLIÉ handheld.
Tap MOVE in step 5
The data in “Memory Stick” media is deleted after being saved in your CLIÉ handheld.

Note

Some data such as those copied from “Memory Stick” media to your CLIÉ handheld will not backed up during the next HotSync operation.
