The sound data transferred to your CLIÉ handheld is stored in either IMA ADPCM-format (System ADPCM Sounds.pdb) or Standard MIDI file-format (System MIDI Sounds.pdb).
If you delete these files, all sound data of the same format will be lost. It is recommended for you to back up using the Memory Stick Gate application.
Transferring sound data to your CLIÉ handheld
Using the Sound Converter software, you can convert WAVE format and SMF format sound data on your computer to the format compatible to your CLIÉ handheld. Install the Sound Converter software on your computer using
the supplied Installation CD-ROM.

Start the Sound Converter software.

Select the sound data that you want to transfer to your
CLIÉ handheld.

Click Install on next HotSync.
The Starting Installation dialog box appears.

Click Execute.
The Reserving Installation completed dialog box appears. Click OK. The data are set
to be installed in the next HotSync operation. |

Perform a HotSync operation with your computer.
The selected sound data are transferred to your CLIÉ handheld.
