Recording still images

Notes
•  You cannot record an image if the battery is low. In this case, use the battery adaptor or fully recharge the battery.
•  Hold your CLIÉ™ handheld to prevent camera shake, or place your CLIÉ™ handheld on the stable position and use the self-timer.
•  Open the lens cover before you use CLIE Camera.
•  Be sure to close the lens cover after you use CLIE Camera.
Recording still images

Tap Applications tab, and tap the CLIE Camera application icon from the Applications screen.


Note
A fluorescent light may cause some flicker in the display. In this case, change the settings in Flicker Control.

Adjust the screen position, and aim the lens at the subject of your photograph.

Press the CAPTURE button on your CLIÉ™ handheld to record an image, or tap CAPTURE button on the screen.
You can also press the Jog Dial™ navigator of your CLIÉ™ handheld to record images.
The captured images will be saved on your CLIÉ™ handheld or the "Memory Stick™" media depending on the setting you have made in the Camera preferences.
On storing images
When you save data on "Memory Stick™" media, the recorded images are stored in the \DCIM\***MSDCF folder (“***” are numbers from 101 to 999) in the media. For specific location of the folder, see About files stored on “Memory Stick™” media.

Close the lens cover.
Using the self-timer
Using the self-timer function, you can capture a still image 10 seconds after pressing the CAPTURE button on your CLIÉ™ handheld

Tap (Timer).
The timer button lights orange.

Press the CAPTURE button on your CLIÉ™ handheld, or tap CAPTURE button on the screen.
Recording starts in 10 seconds.
Using the zoom function
Using the zoom function, you can capture a closer image of the subject of your photograph.
Tap (Zoom) and select the desired zoom level from x 1 or x 2.
The image is recorded in the selected zoom level.
Note
The resolution of the image gets lower when you use zoom (x 2) function.
