You can manage (copy, move, or delete) data on your CLIÉ™ handheld and Memory Stick™ media inserted into your CLIÉ™ handheld, with the CLIE Files application.
You can use CLIE Files to:

Sort and view files on Memory Stick™ media.
|
|
Create or delete directions on Memory Stick™ media.
|
|
Show memory information or change the volume label of Memory Stick™ media on the Media Information screen.
|
|
Extract a ZIP file on Memory Stick™ media.
Note
You can save the prc and pdb files on your CLIÉ™ handheld. Save the other data on "Memory Stick™" media. If you try to copy data, such as a bmp file, which cannot be stored on your CLIÉ™ handheld, an error message is displayed and the data cannot be saved.

Note on moving and deleting files
If you move or delete a file using CLIE Files, an error may occur or data may be lost. Sony is not responsible for any lost data.
Do not move or delete the following files:

Saved Preferences: Saves the status of the last operation or settings for various applications.
|
|
Unsaved Preferences: Saves the settings of various applications or user information about your CLIÉ™ handheld. If this file is deleted, you may not be able to synchronize existing data with the latest information.

|
CLIELauncherXXX: Saves the database for CLIE Launcher. If this file is deleted, you may not be able to start CLIE Launcher properly.
|
|
NetworkDB: Saves network settings. If this file is deleted, the network connection is disabled.
|
|
AddressDB: Saves the database for Address Book*.
|
|
DatebookDB: Saves the database for Date Book*.
|
|
MemoDB: Saves the database for Memo Pad*.
|
|
ToDoDB: Saves the database for To Do List*.

These database files can be copied to Memory Stick™ media for backup. If you copy them back to your CLIÉ™ handheld, the identical files on your CLIÉ™ handheld will be overwritten with the information at the time of backup. Note that any added or edited data on your CLIÉ™ handheld after the backup will be erased.
