The Giga Pocket Plugin is a software application for Sony VAIO® computers.
If you are using a Sony VAIO® computer with the Giga Pocket software (Ver.2.0 or later) installed, you can view TV programs stored on your computer with your CLIÉ™ handheld by converting files using this application.
Giga Pocket Plugin functions
You can convert movie images to the format compatible for your CLIÉ™ handheld. The converted image files are transferred to a “Memory Stick™ ” media.
Compatible file formats
You can convert movie files recorded by using the Giga Pocket software (Ver.2.0 or later) to the format compatible to your CLIÉ™ handheld.
To play the converted movie image files on your CLIÉ™ handheld, use the Movie Player application.

* The playback of Movie Player-format movie files are only assured on the Movie Player application of your CLIÉ™ handheld.
On movie images
When you convert movie images using the Giga Pocket Plugin software, you can store the data for following length of time on a “Memory Stick™ ” media (not supplied).
•
High Plus Quality mode: approximately 18 minutes on a “Memory Stick™ ” media (128 MB)
•
High Quality mode: approximately 30 minutes on a “Memory Stick™ ” media (128 MB)
•
Standard mode: approximately 60 minutes on a “Memory Stick™ ” media (128 MB)
• Long Play mode: approximately 130 minutes on a “Memory Stick™ ” media (128 MB)
Note
Movie images converted in “High Plus Quality mode” can be played back only on the PEG-UX50/UX40 (as of July 2003).
Note
You need to install the Giga Pocket Plugin software to your computer using the supplied Installation CD-ROM.

Insert the Installation CD-ROM into your computer’s CD-ROM drive.
The installation launcher window appears.
If the installation launcher window does not appear, click the CD-ROM drive icon on the Windows® Explorer, and then double-click Setup.exe.

Click CLIÉ Image from the categories displayed on the left side of the window.

Click the Install button for the Giga Pocket Plugin software.
The software installation starts.
Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the installation.

Click Finish.
The installation is complete.

To view the Help, click Start, select Programs (All Programs in Windows® XP), Giga Pocket, Plugin, and then click Convert to CLIE Help.
