Configuring the Phone preferences
You need to configure the Phone preferences before using SMS.

On the CLIE 3D Launcher screen, rotate the Jog Dial™ navigator to select Prefs and then press the Jog Dial™ navigator, or tap the Prefs icon on the CLIE 3D Launcher screen.
The Preferences screen appears.

Tap the arrow
The Phone preferences screen appears.
 at the upper-right corner of the screen and select Phone from the drop-down list. |

Tap the arrow
under “Connection:” and select the connection which has appropriate phone driver. |
Connecting your CLIÉ™ handheld to your mobile phone
You must connect your CLIÉ™ handheld to your mobile phone via Bluetooth® in order to send or receive messages on your CLIÉ™ handheld.

Prepare your CLIÉ™ handheld and your mobile phone for Bluetooth® communication.
Make sure that the Bluetooth® function is enabled in the Bluetooth screen of the Preferences menu.Refer to the Handbook supplied with your CLIÉ™ handheld for details. |
