Creating a memo
You can organize memos using the items shown below.
•  Page: Where you write your memo.
•  Notebook: Contains several pages where you can enter text as well as drawings.
•  Category: Contains several notebooks. You can create a maximum of 16 categories in the CLIE Memo application.
Creating a new memo

On the CLIE Launcher screen, rotate the Jog Dial™ navigator to select CLIE Memo and press the Jog Dial™ navigator.
Or, tap the CLIE Memo icon on the CLIE Launcher screen.
A new page is displayed on the screen by default.

Tap the title area to enter the title.

Tap the field showing Unfiled in the upper-right of the screen to select a category for the currently selected notebook.
The notebook is assigned to the Unfiled category by default.

Tap the tool icon and write the memo.
•  (Pen): For handwriting text or drawing an image in the selected stroke width. You can select stroke width from three levels.
•  (Color): Selects the color for the pen. You can select the color from black, blue, or red. The default is black. You can select from 256 colors by changing the settings on the Preferences dialog box.
•  (Undo): Cancel the last action you took and returns to the previous state.
•  (Redo): Restores the change that you canceled last time with (Undo).
Adding a new page

Tap to add a new page after the current page.
Notes
•  Pages where you did not make any change and pages where you only enter the title are not saved.
•  You can confirm memory available for the page currently being edited on the memory indicator.
Editing a memo
You can add, delete, and change settings of created memos.

On the CLIE Launcher screen, rotate the Jog Dial™ navigator to select CLIE Memo and press the Jog Dial™ navigator.
Or, tap the CLIE Memo icon on the CLIE Launcher screen.
If the page you edited last time is not displayed, select it manually. You can set the last edited page as the startup screen. See “Changing the settings” to specify the settings for the startup screen.

When the View form screen is displayed, tap the notebook that you want to edit.
When a new page is displayed, tap to display the View form screen. Then, tap and select a notebook that you want to edit.

Select a page that you want to edit.
You can display the other pages of the current notebook, add a new page, or create a new notebook.
•  (Previous): Displays the previous page.
•  (Next): Displays the next page.
•  (New page): Creates a new page after the current page.
•  (New note): Creates a new notebook.

Edit the page.
Use the tools described in “Creating a new memo” to edit the page.
Deleting a page

Tap (Trash) to delete the current page.
The next page is displayed after deletion. When you delete only one page in the notebook, the notebook is also deleted.
Editing in detail
You can enlarge a section of the current memo to edit the memo in detail.

On the Edit screen, tap Menu , Options, then Preferences.
The Preferences dialog box is displayed.

Tap Detail for the Edit mode.

Tap OK.
The screen changes to the Detail mode and appears in the corners.

Tap in the section that you want to edit.
An enlarged view of that section appears. The changes to and the selected section is indicated with a dotted line surrounding the area. The full view of the image is displayed in light gray in the background.
The screen is divided into six sections. Tap the arrow to scroll down.

Edit the memo.
The full view of the image displayed in the background changes as you edit the memo.
To return to the Standard mode, tap .
Note
If you delete all the pages in the notebook, the notebook is also deleted.
