There are two types of “Memory Stick” media: Standard “Memory Stick” media (color: purple) and “MagicGate Memory Stick” media (color: white).
You can playback music files stored in either type of “Memory Stick” media in the Audio Player application. However, you must use a “MagicGate Memory Stick” media to playback ATRAC3-format audio files on your CLIÉ handheld.

Using the Audio Player application, you can play MP3-format audio files and ATRAC3-format audio files on your CLIÉ handheld. To play music from audio CDs on your CLIÉ handheld, convert them to ATRAC3-format audio files using the supplied SonicStage software on your computer before using this application.
You can switch and display the list of audio files instead of the playback screen.

You do not need to install Audio Player on your CLIÉ handheld
