Transferring still images to your computer

You can view still images managed with your CLIÉ™ handheld on your computer. Use one of the following ways to transfer still images.

Note

Before transferring the still image files, copy the image files to a storage media. You cannot transfer image files stored on your CLIÉ™ handheld to your computer. For details, see “Copying the files” in the CLIE Viewer application.

Using the “Memory Stick” slot on your computer

If you have a “Memory Stick” slot on your computer, you can directly copy image files on a “Memory Stick™ ” media to your computer using Windows^® Explorer.

Using the Data Import application

When you use a“Memory Stick™ ” media, insert it into your CLIÉ™ handheld beforehand.

1	Connect your CLIÉ™ handheld to your computer using the USB cable.
2	Start the Data Import application on your CLIÉ™ handheld. For details, see operating instructions for the Data Import application. Your CLIÉ™ handheld is recognized as a removable drive on the computer.
3	Copy the image files on a “Memory Stick™ ” media to your computer using Microsoft^® Explorer.

Using the PictureGear Studio software

When you use a“Memory Stick™ ” media, insert it into your CLIÉ™ handheld beforehand.

1	Connect your CLIÉ™ handheld into your computer using the USB cable.
2	Start the Data Import application on your CLIÉ™ handheld. For details, see operating instructions for the Data Import application. Your CLIÉ™ handheld is recognized as a removable drive on the computer.
3	Start the PictureGear Studio software on your computer and click Import Photos. The PhotoCollection screen appears. For details, refer to the online help for the PictureGear Studio software.
